Peacock’s upcoming mockumentary series The Paper, a follow-up to the beloved sitcom The Office, has announced its premiere date. The show will debut its first four episodes on September 4th, followed by the release of two new episodes every Thursday through September 25th. According to the official logline, “The documentary crew that immortalized Dunder Mifflin’s Scranton branch is in search of a new subject when they discover a historic Midwestern newspaper and the publisher trying to revive it.” The cast includes Domhnall Gleeson, Sabrina Impacciatore, Oscar Nuñez (reprising his Office role), Chelsea Frei, Melvin Gregg, Gbemisola Ikumelo, Alex Edelman, Ramona Young, and Tim Key. A trailer revealed that the series takes place in the offices of the Toledo Truth-Teller, with Nuñez’s character, an accountant for the paper, none too pleased to see the documentary crew again.
