In a recent Instagram post, Bret Michaels disclosed that he experienced a diabetes scare during a show in Washington, Pennsylvania, on June 27. The incident has prompted the 62-year-old rocker to consider altering his “insane” tour schedule going forward in order to prioritize his health. The Poison singer experienced a blood sugar drop to a critical level of 39 on stage, leading him to contemplate rescheduling upcoming shows to better manage his condition. “Last night, there was a packed pre-show meet & greet and, although I knew my blood sugar was low, I was excited to meet everyone and not let anyone down,” he wrote. “Unfortunately, the highs and lows of living with diabetes since I’ve been 6 years old occasionally just kick my butt.” Michaels added, “I vow in the near future, I’m going to take that time needed, and please forgive me if I have to move some of the shows around until I get this under control.” (People)
