On Thursday (June 5), Bush released their official lead single, “The Land of Milk and Honey,” from their upcoming album, I Beat Loneliness, which is set to be released on July 18th. A music video for the new track premiered on Friday (June 6), and follows Bush’s previously released song, “60 Ways to Forget People,” an album preview track that wasn’t released as an official single. Frontman Gavin Rossdale says of the new song: “‘The Land of Milk and Honey’ is a wild ride into the heart of the new record, I Beat Loneliness. It’s built to be played loud — to liberate and uplift. That’s the spirit behind it.” While a press release states that “the track stands as a defiant anthem of resistance — personal and political — examining the illusion of freedom in a world ruled by power, obsession, and disconnection.” Bush will join Shinedown on their summer US tour starting on July 19th in Boston, the day after I Beat Loneliness is released.
