Alicia Silverstone will return as Cher Horowitz in a Clueless sequel series on Peacock. The show, currently in development, will serve as a follow-up to the cult classic film, with specific plot details under wraps. This new series is completely different from a previously-abandoned version that was described as mystery series. The original 1995 film, loosely based on Jane Austen’s Emma, also featured Paul Rudd, Stacey Dash, Brittany Murphy, and others. The first TV adaptation aired from 1996 to 1999. Silverstone also reprised her role in a 2023 Super Bowl ad for Rakuten, reaffirming her association with the iconic character that made her famous. (Variety)
