Amazon Prime Video is developing a TV series adaptation of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon based on the novel by Wang Dulu. The show will explore the complex dynamic between warriors Shu Lien and Mu Bai, torn between love and tradition in a changing world. This project is part of the Crane Iron Pentalogy, with other books like Crane Startles Kunlun and Sword Force, Pearl Shine. The original book series was published in the 1940s, and the story was been previously adapted into an Oscar-winning film by Ang Lee in 2000. Director Ning, known for Lucifer and The Expanse, is working on this anticipated TV adaptation. (Variety)
