Billy Idol and Drew Barrymore reminisced about their vibrant nights in the 1980s New York City club scene during his appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show on Tuesday (April 8). The duo reflected on their shared experiences, including adventures at iconic venues like Studio 54, with Barrymore even sharing an old photo of the two of them together at the Limelight. “What the hell do you remember from those days?” the host asked Idol. “Not very much,” he replied with a laugh, which prompted Barrymore – who was a child star at the time – to joke, “Me neither. I was hoping you could color stuff in for me.” Despite their hazy recollections, they each expressed nostalgia for the era’s freedom and creativity, with Barrymore recalling the impact Idol had on her as a fan growing up. “The only thing I knew was that I loved you, I got to hang out with you, we were obviously playful and silly,” she recalled fondly.
