Netflix has ordered a reality competition series titled The Golden Ticket, inspired by Roald Dahl’s Charlie & The Chocolate Factory. The show will combine elements of strategy, adventure, and social dynamics as contestants strive to secure entry into a “retro-futuristic” chocolate factory using a golden ticket and navigate through various challenges. This marks the first project derived from Dahl’s world since Netflix acquired the intellectual property in 2021. “We are thrilled to bring the magic of The Chocolate Factory to life like never before,” Netflix said. “For the first time, a lucky few won’t just have to imagine the experience — they’ll get to step inside the factory and live it.” (THR)
