On Wednesday (February 26), Billy Idol revealed details about his upcoming album, Dream Into It, which will be released on April 25th. This marks the rock legend’s first studio album in over a decade. The lead single, “Still Dancing,” is a reference to one of Idol’s biggest hits (“Dancing with Myself”), and pays homage to his early days in London where the music of the era inspired him and changed his life. “Punk rock gave me an opening,” Idol recalls. “I was surrounded by people who loved the music as deeply as I did and you were going to throw caution to the wind, believe in what you were doing and grab on for dear life.” The nine-track album features guest appearances by Avril Lavigne, Joan Jett, and the Kills’ Alison Mosshart, and Idol will support the record with a North American tour alongside Joan Jett and the Blackhearts which kicks off on April 30th in Phoenix.
