Seth Rogen revealed in a cover story for Esquire that he paid little attention to the public fallout following James Franco’s statement last year that their friendship has ended. “No. I haven’t talked to Seth. I love Seth, we had 20 great years together, but I guess it’s over,” Franco told Variety. “And not for lack of trying. I’ve told him how much he’s meant to me.” When Esquire asked Rogen how it felt “to have something so personal become so public,” he avoided the topic, saying: “Honestly, I absorb so little media that it really wasn’t on my radar.” The longtime collaborators, who rose to fame together on Freaks & Geeks and worked on projects like Pineapple Express and This Is The End, saw their partnership dissolve after sexual misconduct allegations against Franco surfaced in 2018.
