On Friday, Lord Huron shared their first new material since 2023, a single called “Who Laughs Last?” which features the music recording debut of Academy Award-nominated actress Kristen Stewart. The Twilight star is also featured in the music video for the track. The Los Angeles indie folk band also just announced the dates and details of their 2025 world tour, which gets underway on July 18 in Indianapolis, and features support on select dates by Waxahatchee, Feist, and more. Guitarist/vocalist Ben Schnieder says the Stewart collaboration came about naturally. “She immediately got what I was going for and had great ideas to boot,” he said. “It was the kind of collaboration you dream of, honestly.” For her part, Stewart says, “I’ve always loved the band and immediately sparked to the manic drift of the song and to the mood. I love when a song is something you can kind of seep into and imagine.” (Consequence of Sound)
