Breaking Benjamin took to Instagram on Tuesday (October 15) to announce that they have released a new single, “Awaken.” The track is the Pennsylvania rock band’s first new song in five years. The group shared their appreciation to their dedicated fanbase for sticking with them all this time with the caption, “AWAKEN is out now on all platforms. Thank you for your patience 🫶🏼” The new music also comes with the announcement that Breaking Benjamin have just signed a new record deal with BMG. “Working on this song has been something new and exciting for all of us I believe,” guitarist Jasen Rauch said in a press release. “We’ve been able to explore more of who we are traditionally, while at the same time push boundaries and try things we haven’t done in the past. Musically we’ve tried hard to stay true to what Breaking Benjamin is, but offer a new take as well.” (Consequence of Sound)
