Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón made an announcement on Wednesday (October 9) that a sex abuse case against Marilyn Manson (born Brian Warner) is officially under review by their Sex Crimes Division. Gascón made a statement that revealed that prosecutors are examining “new leads and additional evidence” presented by the L.A. County Sheriff Department’s ongoing investigation, and that “new evidence” has been discovered within the last few weeks. The D.A.’s update comes two years after the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department initially submitted the findings of its 19-month investigation into sexual abuse allegations against Warner. Gascón said that he anticipates his office will be “making a filing decision soon and will provide an update when that time comes. At that time, I look forward to meeting with the victims to discuss how my office can continue to support them.” (Rolling Stone)
