Sean Astin, best known for his roles in Goonies, Rudy, Lord Of The Rings and Stranger Things, will make his Broadway debut as Santa in the revival of Elf The Musical alongside Tony-nominee Grey Henson in the lead role as Buddy the Elf. The limited engagement at the Marquis Theatre, beginning on November 9th and ending on January 4th of next year, marks the return of the musical to Broadway after successful runs in London’s West End. Astin’s role was originated by Ed Asner in the classic 2003 Will Ferrell comedy, and later by George Wendt in the original Broadway production. Additional cast members will be announced later.
