Former Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre, 54, disclosed his recent Parkinson’s disease diagnosis during a welfare reform hearing on Capitol Hill, linking it to his investment in Prevacus, a company working on concussion medication. “Sadly, I also lost an investment in a company that I believed was developing a breakthrough concussion drug I thought would help others,” Favre said Tuesday. “And I’m sure you’ll understand why it’s too late for me, because I’ve recently been diagnosed with Parkinson’s. This is also a cause dear to my heart.” Any connection between Favre’s Parkinson’s diagnosis and his football career remains uncertain. (AP)
