Deadpool & Wolverine remained the top-grossing film over the Labor Day weekend box office, adding another $19.5 million to cross $600 million domestically. It’s only the 16th film to reach that milestone, not adjusted for inflation. Alien: Romulus landed at No. 2, earning $11.5 million. It has now generated $293.5 million globally, which is the second-best showing of the franchise. It Ends With Love, the film adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s novel, starring Blake Lively, landed in third with $9.5 million. The only new movie of the holiday, the poorly-reviewed biopic Reagan, debuted at No. 4 with $9.2 million. Twisters rounded out the top 5 with $8.7 million. (THR)
