Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown is set to adapt her debut novel, Nineteen Things, into a Netflix feature film. Published in September 2023, the book is inspired by her grandmother’s experiences during World War II and follows a young woman named Nellie Morris in east London. The screenplay is being adapted by Anthony McCarten, known for Bohemian Rhapsody and Darkest Hour. Brown has a close relationship with Netflix, having starred in Stranger Things, the Enola Holmes films, and the fantasy adventure Damsel. She has earned two Emmy nominations for Stranger Things, which is expected to conclude with a fifth and final season in 2025. (Variety)
