The Paris Olympics have set new streaming records, with viewership surpassing all previous Olympic Games combined. Viewers have collectively spent 17 billion minutes watching the Summer Games on Peacock, far exceeding the 4.48 billion minutes from the Tokyo Olympics. NBC’s primetime viewership has also seen a boost: it’s currently the top network among adults aged 18-49. Executives are crediting at least some of its Olympics success to having Snoop Dogg as a correspondent, and are already planning to invite him back for future sports coverage. “Snoop has done everything and beyond what we ever expected him to do here in the Paris Games,” NBC Sports president Rick Cordella said. “He has been enthusiastic. He has been optimistic. I think we’d be really thrilled to have Snoop back in any capacity he would want to come back in.” (UPI)
