Keanu Reeves talked about his own mortality in an interview with BBC News. “I’m 59, so I’m thinking about death all the time,” he said. “I’m young old. Hopefully it’s not crippling, but hopefully it’s sensitised [us] to an appreciation of the breath we have, and the relationships that we have the potential to have.” Reeves made the statements while promoting his debut novel, The Book of Elsewhere, which he co-authored with China Miéville. The novel follows an immortal warrior struggling to understand why he cannot die. It’s based on the actor’s hugely successful BRZRKR comic book series, which is also being developed for Netflix.
