Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello has shared a brand new solo single, “Soldier in the Army of Love,” which features guitar works from his 13-year-old son, Roman. The new song will be included on what Morello says on Instagram is, “my first ever full-length solo rock album.” Morello has not shared an album title or a release date for his new collection. But the guitar legend released this statement about his new single: “It’s a salute to the transformative power of music as both a balm to heal the soul and a battering ram to fight for justice. The song also has a generational rock n roll bloodline. The heaviest riffs were written by my 13-year-old guitar wizard son Roman, who also plays the shredding solo, giving me hope that there’s a new generation of soldiers in the army of love coming to the rescue.” (Consequence of Sound)
