Inside Out 2 has surpassed Dune 2 become the highest-grossing film of the year, earning $724.4 million worldwide after reaching $100 million domestically and $164.4 million overseas in its second weekend. Bad Boys 4 maintained second place with $18.8 million in its third weekend, followed by The Bikeriders (about a motorcycle gang in the 1960s) in third with $10 million. Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes finished fourth with $3.6 million and The Garfield Movie rounded out the top 5 with just over $3.5 million. Russell Crowe’s film The Exorcism opened to just $2.4 million, marking one of the weakest wide debuts in Crowe’s career. (THR)
