Cyndi Lauper has just revealed plans for her final run of live shows. Lauper has dubbed the jaunt the Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour, after the Grammy-nominated hit single from her 1983 debut album, She’s So Unusual. The 70-year-old singer’s farewell tour will feature a 23-date run of arena shows throughout North America, kicking off on Friday, October 18 at the Bell Centre in Montreal, and ending on December 5 at the United Center in Chicago. No opening acts for the Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour have been announced as of yet. The tour announcement coincides with the June 4 premiere of Let the Canary Sing, a new documentary examining Lauper’s music career and colorful life.
