Surprisingly, it faced tough competition from The Garfield Movie, which earned $24.8 million over the weekend and an estimated $31 million over the four-day period. Overall, the holiday weekend had the lowest box office performance in almost thirty years. IF held the third position with an estimated $21 million, while the third installment of the Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes was fourth.
