During a press event in Mexico City this week for their new Netflix film, Atlas, stars Jennifer Lopez and Simu Liu shut down a reporter’s attempt to ask about the rumors surrounding Lopez’s divorce from Ben Affleck. “Is your divorce from Ben Affleck real? These rumors?” the reporter asked unexpectedly, shocking the room. Liu quickly stepped in to defend the caught-off-guard Lopez. “OK we’re not doing that,” he responded. “C’mon, don’t come in with that energy, please.” Lopez herself then added: “You know better than that.” The actors soon ended the event, which was not intended as a Q&A.
