According to figures reached by The Sunday Times, Paul McCartney has reached the professional milestone of becoming the U.K.’s first billionaire musician. The former bassist in The Beatles joins U.S. musicians Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, and Rihanna, who have all previously reached billionaire status. In 2023, it was estimated that McCartney’s net worth was around £950 million (the equivalent to roughly $1,203,126). But thanks to his highly profitable tour dates over the past year, McCartney has supposedly earned him an additional £50 million, pushing the rock icon over the £1 billion threshold. Other U.K. musicians on the Times 2024 Rich List are Elton John with a supposed net worth of £470 million, and the Rolling Stones’ Mick Jagger and Keith Richards both are worth a purported £415 million each.
