Sydney Sweeney’s representative has come to her defense after a veteran Hollywood producer, Carol Baum, questioned why Sweeney is so highly sought after and stated that she is “not pretty” and “can’t act.” In response, Sweeney’s spokesperson told Variety, “How sad that a woman in the position to share her expertise and experience chooses instead to attack another woman.” The rep further criticized Baum for “unjustly disparaging a fellow female producer.” Sweeney, best known for her roles in Euphoria and The White Lotus, recently starred in the surprise mega-hit romantic-comedy Anyone But You — which she also executive produced.
