Kendrick Lamar is joining forces with South Park creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker for an upcoming live-action comedy film. The as-yet-untitled project will be distributed by Paramount Pictures and is set to drop on July 4th, 2025. The comedy explores the story of a young Black intern at a living history museum who discovers that his girlfriend’s ancestors were once slave owners. “This script is one of the funniest and most original scripts we’ve ever read, and it’s certain to create some fireworks when it hits theaters…” Paramount film chief Brian Robbins said during a presentation at CinemaCon 2024 this week.
