Meek Mill joined Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro at the signing of the state's Probation Reform Bill SB838, which reduces the chances for those on probation to be sent back to jail for minor offenses. The rapper, representing the REFORM Alliance, got emotional while speaking about how he got in trouble simply by taking his child to school while on probation in New Jersey. “I don't want to get emotional because it's a lot,” Meek said with tears in his eyes. “You don't have to clap 'cause I'm at a point in my life like we all grew up in the streets, and we try to be better, but they labeled us felons and sent us back to jail. I had to fight against that the whole time to gain my respect and be who I am today, and I'm proud of that.” The REFORM Alliance had been working to pass the bill for over 5 years.
