Ed Sheeran‘s music was featured in the season finale episode of Ted Lasso on Wednesday (5-31). He posted the news just hours before the show aired. The premiere of “A Beautiful Game,” also doubled at the release of Sheeran’s new single.
In an Instagram video he said, he’s “super, super, super proud of it” and wrote it especially for this show, “about a year and a bit ago.”
While there hasn’t been a definitive answer from Apple TV+ about the future of Ted Lasso, Sheeran’s song leaves you with the feeling of a bittersweet farewell.
