Demi Lovato says her new album is filled with songs she wrote about personal experiences. 2021 was a difficult time for her and was also the year she completed a rehab program. Those times inspired the album titled, Holy FVCK.
At the time, she was dealing with lingering effects of an overdose from 2018 and said. “I had all of this unresolved trauma that I hadn't dealt with, or that I started to deal with in treatment. And then, when I came out, I was like, 'It's OK to be angry and feel those things.' I had a lot of anger, and I think it showed in a lot of the songs.
Her new single, “29” was just released and the album will be out this Friday, August 19.
