Chevelle's drummer, Sam Loeffler, has tested positive for Covid, causing the band to have to postpone some upcoming shows, including tonight's concert (Friday, April 29th) in New Orleans. The band released a statement via social media on Wednesday (April 27th) which reads, “We are really bummed to announce that we have made the unavoidable decisions to reschedule the Visit New Orleans show on Fri, April 29th at the The Fillmore New Orleans to Thurs, Sept 22nd and cancel the Beale Street Music Festival on Sat, April 30th in Memphis Travel due to Sam testing positive for Covid . . .”
The statement concluded with information for ticket holders, who can get refunds from their original point of sale and “all rescheduled tickets are still valid.”
