Camila Cabello Jokes That She Auditioned For The X Factor To Marry Harry Styles

Like a lot of teenage girls, when Camila Cabello was 15, she was a huge fan of One Direction, especially Harry Styles. In a Carpool Karaoke segment with James Corden she confessed that Styles was the driving force behind her decision to audition for the show, The X Factor.

Now 25, she joked that she hoped, that because he was once on that show, that she’d maybe get to meet him and fall in love. Looking back, she said it’s embarrassing now.

She said, “I literally was like, 'I'm auditioning for X Factor because I will marry Harry Styles.' I really believed that at the time.”

Her path echoed that of Styles, who auditioned solo for the British X Factor in 2010, and also finished third after being placed in One Direction.
