Red Hot Chili Peppers will soon get a hometown honor when they receive their star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The band famously formed when they were still at Fairfax High School, just a few streets away from where their star will be located. At that time, Anthony Kiedis and Flea were part of the original group alongside the late Hillel Slovak and drummer Jack Irons.
According to Variety, a ceremony has been set for the morning of March 31. It kicks off with iconic funk artist George Clinton, who produced the band's 1985 Freaky Styley album. Actor Woody Harrelson will be there to unveil the star.
