- John Lennon's sons are backing alternative methods for dealing with covid. Julian Lennon revealed to fans via Instgram that he's battling the virus, and posted a photo of ivermectin tablets on his page, writing, "Omicron finally got me. Happy Holidaze they are not. Stay Safe out there! The Beginning of the End…. Hopefully. I decided this course of healing, after consultation with DRs outside of the US, where treatment, administered correctly, helped greatly & swiftly with recovery." After fans gave Jules a piece of their mind regarding his healthcare choices, he wrote: "Each to their own, but insulting my intelligence because of MY choices, well, there’s not enough medication in the World for that."
- Younger brother Sean Lennon piped in to support Julian's use of the drug, writing, "People saying Ivermectin is for horses here have never looked into this at all. It is not 'for horses.' Especially not the ivermectin humans take. In fact it is 'for humans.' And the one for horses is 'for horses.' You’ll be feeling better soon. Love you. Wish I was there."

- Well, it seems it's never too late to teach an old dog new tricks. Paul McCartney had just seemingly discovered Instagram filters and has posted a few of himself. "Macca" showcases such alter egos as "Olga" a female Norwegian "heavy metal folk" musician performing at a music festival, an elderly angel keyboardist, and an elfin bassist named "Trinket."
- Beatles film producer Denis O’Dell died on December 30th at age 98. O'Dell, who met the group while working on 1964's A Hard Day's Night, was an associate producer on John Lennon's 1967 solo movie How I Won The War, went on to produce both Magical Mystery Tour and Let It Be. Most recently he served as a consulting producer for Peter Jackson's The Beatles: Get Back.
- In addition to being the head of the Beatles' Apple Films, O'Dell was name checked in the band's 1970 "Let It Be" B-side, "You Know My Name (Look Up The Number)."
- Denis O'Dell later produced such films as Sidney Lumet's The Offence in 1973, Richard Lester's 1976 film Robin And Marian starring Sean Connery and Audrey Hepburn, along with Michael Cimino's 1980 big-budget flop Heaven’s Gate. (Variety)
