Elle King is one of the few artists who have found success on several charts, including Rock, AC and Country. Her latest hit, “Drunk (And I Don't Wanna Go Home),” a duet with Miranda Lambert, has already made its mark on the Rock chart and is a current Top 30 and climbing at Country radio.
While Elle doesn't make music for any one specific genre, she's enjoying her current stint in Country music. She tells us “Drunk (And I Don't Wanna Go Home)” was re-worked from its original version and that Miranda was the missing piece of the puzzle. “I was working with Martin Johnson, the co-write for 'Drunk (And I Don't Wanna Go Home).' This was a song that started when I was like 24 years old and we re-wrote it and it's like, sure, this is a good song. It can stand on its own but like something was missing, and Miranda and I were becoming friends, so I asked her to do it, but it's like these magical ingredients that just kind of worked out. I've been having the most fun the last couple of years doing Country and so it just felt like the next thing to do.”
“Drunk (And I Don't Wanna Go Home)” will be included on Elle's upcoming project.
