Ringo Starr has just released the new video for "Let's Change The World," the lead single off his current EP Change The World. The track was co-written by Toto co-founder and longtime All Starr Band guitarist Steve Lukather.
The new clip was created in collaboration with Kids In The Spotlight, a nonprofit that provides a platform for foster care youth to tell their stories through film. These underserved youth "write, cast, and star in their own short films, and the experiences help them to heal and grow, as well as to prepare and lay the groundwork for future employment opportunities."
We caught up with Ringo, who told us that although he hated being separated from his friends in the studio during the pandemic, part of him actually loves the ease in which he can collaborate by file sharing: ["I love to see it unfold like that, where, y'know, you've got this. . . and you send this man this and 'ooh. . .' The last one I put out on a CD, vinyl, and cassettes, and we sold more cassettes (laughs). So, this one's comin' out on cassette, too (laughs). Y'know, I had to go and buy another cassette player, because, y'know, about two years ago I got rid of all my cassette players — now, we're comin' back."] SOUNDCUE (:24 OC: . . . we're coming' back)
