Paul McCartney has just announced his first public event in over two years, set for November 5th when he discusses his new book, The Lyrics: 1956 To The Present, in London at Southbank Centre's Royal Festival Hall.
McCartney, who'll publish the tome on November 2nd, will be joined by Paul Muldoon, Pulitzer Prize-winning author, poet and editor of The Lyrics. The moderator for the evening will be journalist, broadcaster and writer Samira Ahmed. In addition to a ticketed audience, the event will be live streamed.
The Lyrics: 1956 To The Present includes McCartney's Beatles songs written with John Lennon, features “a treasure trove of material from McCartney’s personal archive — drafts, letters, photographs — never seen before, which make this also a unique visual record of one of the greatest songwriters of all time.”
