COREY TAYLOR SAYS HE CAUGHT COVID FROM A FAN: Corey Taylor thinks it was an audience member who infected him with COVID-19. The Slipknot singer told a fan who goes by the name of Billy D on YouTube that he trusts that most people are taking the proper precautions but “sometimes you just run into those selfish people that don’t care about that.” He added, “I think that’s what happened to me – somebody came to one of my shows and was in the audience sick and probably got several people sick.” Taylor announced that he tested positive for COVID-19 earlier this month (Aug 20th), describing it as “the worst I’ve ever been sick in my life.”
JONATHAN DAVID HAS LINGERING COVID SYMPTOMS: Jonathan Davis is back on the road, but the Korn singer is still experiencing symptoms from his COVID-19 infection. Footage shared by TMZ on Monday (Aug. 30th) showed that Davis performed his first show back while sitting on a throne and he needed supplemental oxygen to help him get through the performance. Guitarist Brian “Head” Welch shared on Instagram that Davis is still feeling “physically weak and having a mental battle.”
TAME IMPALA TO REQUIRE VACCINATIONS: Tame Impala will require fans to show proof of vaccination against COVID-19 or provide a negative test before they can attend one of shows on the band’s forthcoming U.S. tour. Kevin Parker wrote in a statement to fans, “My beliefs on this matter align closely with the word of science, which is that the vaccine undeniably helps prevent serious illness and death from covid 19. If this isn’t your view I urge you to re-evaluate.” The tour kicks off on September 4th at the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival.
