Danny Elfman and Trent Reznor have joined forces on a brand new version of “True”, one of the singles from Elfman’s new double album, Big Mess, which was released in June. The song's video was also released yesterday (Wednesday, August 11th).
Elman said, “This is the first duet/collaboration I’ve ever done in my life, so to do it with Trent was a real surprise and a treat. He’s always been a big inspiration to me, not to mention he has one of my all-time favorite singing voices.”
Big Mess is Elfman's his first solo record in 37 years. The project features 18 tracks as well as some very well-known musicians including drummer Josh Freese (Devo, Weezer, The Vandals), bassist Stu Brooks (Dub Trio, Lady Gaga, Lauryn Hill), and guitarists Robin Finck (Nine Inch Nails, Guns N’ Roses) and Nili Brosh (Tony MacAlpine, Paul Gilbert).
