Cardi B took to Twitter to address her critics and she ended up going back and forth with people for hours. The back and forth started after Cardi reiterated her comments about supporting female rappers. During her interview with XXL, she said, “If I like you, I’m gonna endorse you. If I like your music, I’m gonna tell you that I like your music. I’m not in no catty sh*t, but it’s like at the end of the day, it is what it is. Like, this could get a little bit catty. So, it’s like, I don’t want to feel like I have a responsibility to look out for the girls and coddle the girls and this and that. I feel like nobody did it for me, so it’s like, I don’t have to do it for you.”
She then tweeted yesterday (April 8th),”I DON’T HAVE TO SUPPORT FEMALE RAPPERS HOWEVER I STILL DO IT. There’s a difference between having too and doing it cause I WANT TOO. Don’t come to my page, don’t mention my name then ask why I’m replying when ya all in MY QUOTES. This is my community once you in my property I can say and do what I want. The question is why ya here? Who called for ya’ll?”
When someone tweeted that Cardi knows what she did to get so much hate, dating back to her fight with Nicki Minaj in 2018, she responded, “What I did in 2018? Stand up for myself cause I’m not p***y? Ya want me to be p***y soo bad! My karma? This is what comes with s**t. My career still very strong and ya still got me on ya mind and the millions is coming so this karma feels real good.”
