- Ringo Starr has released “Zoom In Zoom Out” — the latest tune from his upcoming EP, Zoom In, which drops on Friday (March 19th.) The new track features Ringo's first collaboration with Doors guitarist Robby Krieger. Ringo appears tonight (March 15th) on CBS's The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
- The latest Beatles streaming playlist has been released — with the new six-track list spotlighting some of the “Fab Four's” classic cover songs. The new Inspirations list features the band's cover of Little Richard's “Long Tall Sally,” the Shirelles' “Boys,” the group's live-in-studio BBC take on Arthur Alexander's “Soldier Of Love (Lay Down Your Arms),” Barrett Strong's early Motown-gem, “Money (That's What I Want),” and Chuck Berry's “Rock And Roll Music.”
- Following in their father's footsteps, the children of George Harrison and Ravi Shankar, respectively, will participate in a new Concert For Bangladesh. In celebration of the nation's 50th anniversary, Dhani Harrison and Anoushka Shankar will headline the concert, “which is being done under the aegis of India's ICCR or Indian Council for Cultural Relations.” No firm details have been announced for the show.
