George Harrison's widow, Olivia Harrison, has revealed she is battling the coronavirus. The late-Beatle's wife posted a photo on Instagram of a sheet covering a hospital window, and writing, “Redesigning my hospital room curtain. Unlucky to get covid but on the mend. Gratitude to all the selfless carers.”
Olivia, who is now 72, was raised in the Beach Boys' hometown of Hawthorne, California and met Harrison while she was a receptionist at A&M Records in L.A. — the original home of Harrison's boutique record label, Dark Horse. In 1977, the pair welcomed Harrison's only child, musician Dhani Harrison, and married the following year.
Olivia Harrison controls the George Harrison estate — including his quarter share of the Beatles' company, Apple Corps.
