KISS recently announced a New Year's Eve concert at the Atlantis Resort in Dubai that will be livestreamed, but according to Paul Stanley the band is planning beyond that show. In an interview with ExtraTV.com, He said, “We realize that we can't be who we are forever, and that time impacts everybody. You can play 'beat the clock'; ultimately, the clock wins.”
The event will attempt to set the world's record for largest pyro and will be filmed with more than 50 cameras and 360-degree views. He expects the New Year’s Eve show to be the greatest they’ve ever done. He said, “Proudly we can go out there and have a victory celebration. It's kind of like that victory lap where you run around with your hands up.”
Though KISS crowds are huge, Paul Stanley says the band gets “a tremendous sense of intimacy from a large crowd, and we all get to touch base with something that has meant – so much to us. And so much to them.”
