Cardi B has filed for divorce from her husband Offset from the rap group Migos. According to Hollywood Unlocked, a divorce petition was filed in Fulton County, Georgia Superior Court yesterday (September 15th). The filing shows that it's a contested divorce — which is when your spouse disagrees with anything in the case, including the divorce itself, the property division, child custody, financial support, etc. In the filing, Cardi says the marriage is “irretrievably broken” and “there are no prospects for a reconciliation.” The two are due in court on November 4th, 2020.
According to TMZ, Cardi is seeking primary and legal custody of their two-year-old daughter Kulture Kiari. She also wants Offset to pay child support.
So, why did she file? People reported that Cardi found out the Offset was unfaithful to her yet again. Just days before filing, Cardi hinted that there was trouble in paradise. She wrote via her Instagram story, writing, “Her heart finally told her to stop wasting her time,” adding, “It’s time .”
