It looks like Kanye West may not have dropped out of the 2020 presidential race. According to TMZ, an individual named Andre Bodiford filed Form 1 “Statement of Organization” with the Federal Election Commission on yesterday (July 15th), which established “a principal campaign committee” for West.
The document listed the music and fashion as the BDY (Birthday) Party candidate for November's election, and named Bodiford as the campaign Custodian of Records and Treasurer. Later, the Oklahoma State Election board confirmed that West had secured a spot on the state's general election ballot.
A rep for West told People that he had submitted a “Statement of Candidacy” and paid the $35,000 filing fee to run as an independent candidate.
