Sting has pushed his upcoming Las Vegas “My Songs” run until 2021. The string of dates had been pushed from the spring to instead run in August and September, but are now scheduled to play next January, February, and May.
A message was posted on Sting.com stating, “Those who have already purchased tickets to a 2020 performance will have their tickets automatically transferred to a new date with the exact same seats, including VIP packages where applicable. If you are unable to attend that date, please visit your original point of purchase for a refund. Those interested in purchasing tickets for the new dates can do so at www.ticketmaster.com/stingvegas.”
Sting has obviously been no stranger to hit singles and blockbuster albums, but admits that making music now holds a far different place in his life: “I make music to please myself. Whether it has legs or not doesn't detract from that, 'cause at the end of the day I can see what it's worth is by how I felt about it at the time, y'know? We always felt we had a good chance of this. There's a couple of things that sound like singles, y'know, and if I was 18 and in a boy band and I put those singles out, I'd feel very confident about it. The only thing that sort of holds it back is the fact that, y'know, the charts are dominated by teenage music, which isn't wrong.”
