Paramore singer Hayley Williams‘ debut solo record, Petals For Armor, took the top spot on the Billboard Top Rock Albums chart this week. That made her the first woman to ever lead the Rock Albums chart as both a solo artist and with a group.
Three previous albums with Paramore — After Laughter, Brand New Eyes and a self-titled effort — all made the top spot as well.
Petals arrived on May 8th after Williams unveiled a number of songs from it in the weeks beforehand. It sold 22,000 equivalent album copies in its first week, with 17,000 of those in physical sales. On the overall Billboard 200 chart, Petals For Armor debuted at Number 18.
