Earlier this month, Eminem confronted an intruder who was able to get past security and into the living room of his Clinton Township home outside of Detroit. According to TMZ, at around 4 am, the rapper woke up after the suspect, 26-year-old Matthew David Hughes, used a paving stone to smash a kitchen window before climbing into the house — which caused the alarm to go off. The alarm didn't wake up security, but it woke up Em and he got up to find the intruder in this living room. He called for security before the guards came running to his aid.
Meanwhile, an Eminem associate told The Detroit Free Press that the intruder “was verbally and physically detained by Marshall, while security was alerted.”
Cops were called and Hughes was arrested and booked on felony charges of first degree home invasion and malicious destruction of a building. It looks like he wasn't trying to rob the rapper, he just wanted to meet him. He remains in custody on a $50,000 bond at the Macomb County Jail.
