Bon Jovi is delaying its new album, Bon Jovi 2020 –– with the band's upcoming concert tour now firmly up in the air. The band was set to release its new album next month and kick off an 18-date North American run with special guest Bryan Adams on June 10th in Tacoma, Washington. No new release date for the album has been rolled out.
While chatting to Maria Shriver on her Home Together webcast, Jon Bon Jovi shed light on where the band and its team are in regards to taking the show on the road, admitting, “Right now, we’re still mulling over options, whether we’re going to postpone or cancel. Although I’m confident that it’s at least postponed, a final decision has yet to be made.”
While talking to Yahoo, Bon Jovi went on to say, “It's like a bad dream. I was going to release our new album on May 15th, and rehearsals were to begin this week. I was just going to do 20 arenas as a warm-up to promote the album, and then do the big stuff after that. Not only are the 20 shows postponed, but I don't know when they'll happen. And depending on what you read, none of us knows what's going to happen in the future.”
