Twenty One Pilots frontman Tyler Joseph has revealed that he's written a new song that he feels should “come out now.” Joseph shared this information with fans via Twitter, adding that he hopes he and drummer Josh Dun can finish the song within the next few days.
Joseph, who says he is constantly composing new music, wrote on Sunday night (April 5th), “Always writing, but this one feels like it should just come out now,” describing it as “simple but hopeful.”
Joseph intends to donate a portion of whatever money the song generates to Crew Nation. The initiative, Live Nation's global relief fund for live music crews, is providing desperately needed funds for people who work behind the scenes in live music and who are out of work right now.
In a final update on Sunday night, Joseph gave Josh Dun notice that some new music was on the way, writing, “I'm sending you some files.”
Twenty One Pilots' last album, Trench, came out in 2018.
