- Steve Miller announced that due to public health concerns, he was postponing the Steve Miller Band's 39-city summer trek, dubbed “The Americana Tour,” with Marty Stuart & The Superlatives. Miller posted a message to fans on his official website, which reads: “Hi Everybody — There is nothing more important to us than your good health and welfare so we are postponing all of our dates in June to a later date when it is safe for all of us to be together. Here is an early pre-release live version of 'Fly Like An Eagle' from Don Kirshner's Rock Concert recorded in 1973, three years before it was released. Watch this spot for updates. - Fountains Of Wayne leader Adam Schlesinger has been hospitalized with Coronavirus. According to he 53-year-old musician's family, Schlesinger, who is in an Upstate New York hospital is, “On a ventilator and has been sedated to facilitate his recovery. He is receiving excellent care, his condition is improving.” Contrary to earlier reports, Schlesinger is not in a medically induced coma. (Variety)
- Paul Simon is among the many artists trying to make self-isolating a bit easier by sharing music. Last week, Simon posted a video of him singing his 1977 classic, “Slip Slidin' Away,” and this week he's posted a rendition of Simon & Garfunkel's “The Boxer.” Simon dedicated the performance to his “fellow New Yorkers.”
